Fine collection & nice sketches, Dominik!

Maybe I need to do something the same too? :)

I had a little free time and experimented with color compose. Then the younger son saw a new ink on my table and immediately thought up an application for them: he asked me to filling him pen new ink and draw an ocean liner:). I couldn't refuse and at the same time check the ink.

Since I‘m up to date with the inktober fountainpen portraits, let me catch up with the other stuff:

I was on a longer train ride the last weekend

First test of my new Koh-I-Noor Magic pencils:

Guy on the stairs, fabricating a cigarette:

One of my favourites. I think, I sketched her already. Also cool to see how my style improved since August:

Yesterday, at night, I readed for my youngest son about waves - very interesting book (it's popular science for children). And in the morning he asked to draw these waves:).

@ Andrew_L -- beautiful work. What ink did you use?

@ parkerwasmyfirstlove -- If I didn't already have a Parker Urban, and know what a piece of [expletive deleted] my pen is, your artwork would make me want one.

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I like how well it‘s made and the urban is a pen that is very well thought through. BUT mine is incredibly dry. I tried to change this with only little succes. I would really like to love this pen.

Maybe that is the predecessor to the TWSBI ECO???

The next sketch to illustrate the next quote:). The illustration and quote are not directly related, but it seems to me they are connected with the essence.

Quote
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did so. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
Mark Twain

Another screen version of the quote :)

Flowers are the beautiful hieroglyphics of nature with which she indicates how much she loves us.

Friends are beginning to twig that I have a thing for telegraph poles. This one was sent to me from Crete.

I can't recall ever spending so long on a sketch. The complexity of the image was one factor and the sheer joy of using Conklin's All American with an EF nib was another. What a pen !

I'm really pleased with this and it will be on it's way to Clifden, Ireland as a gift very soon.

Ink: Hmm, I wished I could help more . . . it is 10 parts of loads of failed browns (approx colour, Waterman Havana Brown) and 1 part of Noodler's Navajo Turquoise.

Beautiful work Andrew and Tas, some of the Telegraph poles look like organically grown.

I continue with my Inktober Fountainpens and sketched the last one of my Bexleys, The Flat Top, currently filled with Pelikan Brilliant Green.
