Very cool Debbie.

And flummoxed, That is a very fine sketch. You did this with a "rapidograph"?

Thanks, yes it was in the Rotring in the picture. I think this one was the isograph as they call them.

Have only done smaller doodles after the doggy sketch - or cleaning up, finishing other projects and rearranging, but I have a few projects lined up for the end of the year/ January.

This one was an afternoon sketch and I wasn't satisfied with the contrast, so I added a background with watercolour and bolder outlines with a brush pen. The blue ink is iroshizuku asa gao in a Parker Urban F

Prompted by the recent passing of John Glenn, I put pen to paper sketching a spacesuit I photographed at The Kennedy Space Centre earlier this year.

http://www.taskyprianou.com/fpn_rx_2_extra_vehicle_activity_suit_system.jpg

Pen: Noodler's Eye Dropper.

Ink: 5 parts Turquoise from non branded cartridges, 3 parts Quink Black, 2 parts Monteverde Black, 1 part Diamine Red Dragon, 1 part Lexington Grey (Dont' ask)
Ink: Diamine Red Dragon.
Ink wash: A mixed up "grey" concoction - no real formula.
Paper: CASS Art Watercolour 300gsm

Tas: That is a great spacesuit sketch, looks like a diving suit.

My paper was a measly 70g Canson sketchbook paper btw. Not really suitable for a wash.

31478283031_1d84dd8da3_z_d.jpg

I used my Kaweco cognac (F) for sketching and the Seitz-Kreutznach Cognac ink for sketching and the wash.

After that the lines were bleed out horribly, but after further adding watercolour, brushpen and shading with my crayons it turned out ok. The black background was done by applying Pelikan drawing ink with a brush.

I drew additional ink out of the breather hole of the nib with the watercolour brush. Made me think about carrying a few kaweco sports around with the ink for washes in them.

Also the cheap 70g sketchbook paper isn't that bad either, because it doesn't make you think too much about the sketch, besides getting it done.

:)

Lovely

As for the suit, I can't find any other shots online of it but you're right, it did look exactly like a diver's suit. So beautifully over engineered.

Snowboard, that lamp looks very complicated to draw. Good job!

Basically the same technique as the last one: Fanart in my Canson sketchbook.

I started with a blind contour sketch and worked with what I got out of it.

Background is Waterman inspired blue wash and despite it doesn't look like it, the Kaeco had quite some use here. The Jinhao is for the green touches on the shirt.

While not thechnically a fountain pen sketch, this might be interesting nonetheless.

A wasch of four inks:

Pelikan Edelstein Tanzanite

Sailor oku yama

Waterman inspired blue

And Iroshizuku yuu yake

The background was done with black pelikan drawing ink

Great drawings, parkerwasmyfirtlove.

Thank you very much.

This one is a bit different, monochrome and done using two brushpens and a ballpoint. Lots of Pelikan Scribtol used here. Hope this can stay.

I filled one of my pentel pens with the black ink. I wonder whether it'll clog or not over time.

However, having this black brush pen handy comes in very helpful.

Oh, btw. I just finished a sketch of princess Leia, but I have to wait until tomorrow for daylight.

Cute? Version of Princess Leia. Fountainpen used: Kaweco Sport cognac (f)

Washes of Sailor yamadori for the dress and Waterman inspired blue for the background.

The sketch and the weird in between stage.

I didn't expect my vintage diary taking my treatment that well.

It has been quite some time since visiting, not much time for drawing anything serious, but as always, doodling pad on my desk is full. I posted this along with the pens at another topic and was ask to copy here.

A great place to see the pens our forum members are using today..

What Pen are you using today?

If you think everything is going well... you obviously have no idea what is really going on!
