InkTest tree: Noodler's LE King Phillip Requiem on Stillman & Birn, Zeta paper.

This was a 2015 Commonwealth Pen Show exclusive that a pen friend sent me a sample of. It's a richly toned magenta. that just leaps off the paper.

Awesome !!!

I love it, give us more....

What kind of pen did you used?

Can you tell us a bit about your technique, how you create such a picture.

2 hours is really fast.

Wolf73 ~ fantastic ant! :D

As for my tree ~ Thanks. I like the contrast of the foiliage colours with the simple black and white of the trunk. They are my version of ink test swatches so I am highlighting the colour :D

Thank you Ptero !

FP is some chinese, inexpensive, with black ink,

technique - hatching, cross hatching, stippling, cross contour...

I draw directly with FP, without drawing contour before with graphite pencil.

When I draw with FP always do so, that is my principle.

Wow, so much great work! I'm a huge fan of Mattias'. Here's some of my recent fountain pen artwork for my upcoming comic book serial, 'The Futurists.'

Most of the work was done with my Sailor King of Pens (one with a MF nib and the other with a King Eagle nib) and Noodle's x-feather ink along with Caran Da'che Chromatics ink.

Thanks for looking!

Wolf73 ~ it's good to hear that you find it relaxing to draw with the pen. I often hear that people find it stressful (of making a mistake) but for myself I am like you ~ especially when the drawing involves heavy texturing as your work does. You develop a rhythm...I call it 'getting into a zone'...and you get lost in the work. It's a nice place to go mentally :)

Super gorilla by the way.

mbreitweiser ~ FANTATSIC!! :D
