We don't mind your tree spamming at all. Of course, the problem is that you keep using all these gorgeous inks that I now *want* :wallbash: (Edelstein Amethyst, that blue one from De Atramentis from the other day....

Glad to know they won't annoy anyone too much....except perhaps in the wallet. This ink came up in converstion here in FPN, regarding a good 'gold' ink to write with. Realizing I'd not yet done a tree featuring this oldie but goodie I had to rectify the situation:

Someone had requested a revisit on occasion for a tree....because I have refused to sell these. Fountain pen ink is unstable and fades, even in the dark (as mine are stored)...which is why I call them InkTree TESTS. Anyway...I thought someone might be interested in seeing a 7 month comparison of Noodler's General of the Armies

Fountain pen, Indian Ink, red paint. For a recent book cover.

What is the book about?

"One can not waste time worrying about small minds . . . If we were normal, we'd still be using free ball point pens." —Bo Bo Olson

"I already own more ink than a rational person can use in a lifetime." —Waski_the_Squirrel

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

My (ex) publisher declined to go with this and replaced it with something more anodyne. The book is a humorous SM romance/crime thriller!

I'd be curious to know which people prefer?

Yours is much more interesting and topical. As a fountain pen user—and resident of Las Vegas, Nevada—I am biased!

Yours is more allusive. However, I find it more suitable for a comic's book cover - that is probably why the editor did not choose (but I dislike his choice).

You are very talented.

Ah, Sin City. I have some friends who've been exhibiting at the 12" Of Sin gallery there.

Thank you all for your nice comments. I know why the editor decided to go with something more user friendly but I was disappointed his offering was quite so bland (one of his friends was the designer). As the writer of the book, I was also a bit annoyed that he didn't give me other choices. Just one more reason we have since parted company.

Love the video King Blotto III, that pen looks great too.

I also really like the trunk of your ink tree Pira

Yours is way better artistically (makes me think of Aubrey Beardsley's work) but what the publishers went with is probably more mainstream marketable. Also, yours isn't really humorous....

Back when I was in high school, I tried to do a cover illo for an anthology of SF/fantasy that a friend of my mom's was the editor for. The publishers went with something non-illustrated and with a limited color palette for the dust jacket instead. Sigh.
