The amount of skill in this thread scares me. All I have to offer (for now!) is a little bit of fandom, inspired by the mascots Japanese internet users seem to create for all the operating systems out there.

I've also been playing around recently with water soluble inks and a waterbrush that I have been using for my first steps in watercolour painting. Here's a moomintroll in Kensington blue. I also attempt to do something similar in my two more recent video reviews, but with a capybara, a koala, and a whale.

These are hysterical. Thank you.

Have you ever read any of Sandra Boynton's books, you would like her illustrations.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Its been a while since I've posted in this thread...I've been mostly doing pencil perspectives these days, but I have a new one to show. It was drawn with a 1950s Pelikan 400NN with a very fine point and Aurora Black ink (my favorite). Its an iPhone picture not a scan so any distortion in the image is caused by the page not being completely flat.

I've been away from pens for a bit (learning watercolor painting), but now that I have some facility with a brush, I thought I would try a pen & ink wash. This was done with my Danitrio Bat, using Montblanc ink (which responds really well to wash...). John Mottishaw tuned it in a way that I find ideal for all kinds of drawing: it will make a super-thin line from just the weight of the pen (very light touch), but is flexible enough to make a triple-broad line with a little pressure. It took a while to adjust to such a wide line difference with a minimal pressure change, but once I got used to it, it's been an amazing pen to draw with.

I love that steel riveted bird painting the pipe smoking guys... Very funny and inspired artwork. I guess you will get a good feedback from the teacher.

Thank you for sharing.

Here are some recent ones of mine. A bit of one-perspective work. My own work is taking on a bit of a flair from Schinkel and I have included a drawing of one of my favorite works of his, die Neue Wache.

those are very few i fiddled around when i was reverse engineering things in my head, the top the DB605 is the engine from Messerschmidt BF-109 G-10 ive worked on long ago i remembered where parts were and such, it was a massive inverted V12 engine

and the other is when I was wondering how did those WWII T-34-85 managed to sprint at high paces and across rough terrains with relatively low horsepower (mere 500 horsepower) so i checked and finally thought of a planetary final drive system enabling all that torque into literally a thousand pounds per foot torque.

So we left it at that. He showed us the maneuver after a sort. B*****d stole my kill.'
