@Andrew_L have you tried with the albums feature of FPN? As I understand it, there is no limit there.

Yes, this is what I do. You can start numerous albums

Andrew, sir...

I so much prefer drawing with fountain pens over these crappy disposable Micron technical pens i used years ago...

am about to buy a Montblanc 149 for a good price locally but can the pen take lightfast inks?

I advise you to try before buying. Firstly, because you have been using thin Micron's and pencils for many years before, the thick MB149 may not be comfortable for your hand for long-time drawing, secondly, usually, the nibs of the MB pen have a wet feed, so the line may not be so thin as you wish or necessary for graphics.

Regarding the ink: yes, well-designed pens, including MB149, work well with pigment ink(Carbon Black, Montblanc Permanent, Chou-Kuro), but do not leave the pen unused with these inks for 1.5-2 months or more, it is better to clean and keep it unfilled through a break.

i dont have huge hand, prolly standard size... but I find thin pens can give me cramps as you have to close your hand almost to a fist to handle skinny pens...

i used this a few times:

inhao 9019 Fountain Pen Dadao Series Black Acrylic Gold Trim #8 Medium Nib

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0CC5QD8P5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

and while it glides nice on paper and the size seems ok to me....the piston does not really take in a in a lot of ink, in fact, barely a third of the converter

I have a MB 146 and it seems right in the hand....

Will also buy this very soon: TWSBI Diamond 580 Fountain Pen nib F

I am learning that gold nibs are more flexible (and comfortable over long usage) than steel

I don't like chinese clones and fakes(

From modern ones Pilot 742//912 w|FA nib and Pilot Falcon are nice pen for drawings with some flexibility of nibs.
