Very cool! You can add color by ordinary diluted fountain pen inks or watercolors, because it is carbon.

Thank you for the kind comments, I really like the carbon black, Andrew, better when used with a dip pen as you know for watercolor, works great. For others reading this I can't recommend the carbon black in a pen as requires some extra cleaning or disassembly to clean in the pen which I don't mind doing, but would not recommend in fountain pen too much.

Regards, Glen

If design of the pen is good and nib does not dry inside cap, the use of Carbon is safe, the main thing is not to lay filled pen by ink for 1-2 months without using. Modern C/C systems are quite easy to wash and cleaning. Of course, I would not advise using any permanent ink in Parker Sonnet pens or like these))

ps: On my opinion, with dip nib is better use India inks like Dr.Ph.Martin's or Speedball))

Thank you Andrew! I have been more nervous maybe than need be with the carbon.  It is a great black ink. It’s been so many years since I’ve used India ink I forgot all about it! I have pictures of birds from over 45 years ago that I drew with speedball pen and ink, my first drawing with ink, then I used koohinoor ink and pen until I got into fountain pens…ha thanks for helping me recall! :)

Regards, Glen

Sorry friends, but there might be some problems with the pictures showing because I've already used up all my photo limit in posts and can post only pics by links to external resources.

@Andrew_L for reasons best known to Google, it is blocking your content on iOS devices. I can see it on windows in Google chrome. Same browser on iOS and it does not work. Works fine with Safari on iOS

Thank you for info. I don't know what to say about this, maybe someone(Google) wants to see HTTPS instead of HTTP, although after changing the hosting, for viewing it works on both ways.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

After googling the issue it seems a common problem. Since 2017 at least. That's all I can say about that. I use an Android phone, Firefox and don't visit the forum by phone. 😁

This new image is very cool!  I love the ink color too.

Found problem, chrome in iO doesn’t support the service @Andrew_L uses and is the current version. I’m finding other things I don’t like with it such as a lack of a home button. Went through all the settings and security etc yesterday.

@Andrew_L have you tried with the albums feature of FPN? As I understand it, there is no limit there.

Just click on your user menu and go to your user page. Where the Activity is listed, side by side, there is a tab called "Albums", and there you can create as many albums as you want (don't know if there is a limit) and add pictures to your albums. Then you only need to link to the picture in your album.

I can post a more detailed step by step example if you want.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

This is stunning, thanks for letting us see it.

I can't Album folder, just empty Image without any tool for edit or control. If you mean about Gallery  from main menu and the name of albums, so, as I understand that this is to facilitate categorization, but overall my attachment quota has already out.  I sent a question to Wim last week, but apparently he has a lot of work.

You can use the albums for classification, but they are independent from the attachments, and so not affected by the attachment quota. I think there is a limit of 100 images per album, but you can have as many albums as you want.

E.g. Click on "Gallery"

large.01-click-gallery-add-images.png.e4

Now, click on "Add Images", you should see the following

large.02-click-on-select.png.795d7c2693f

Now, click on Select to display the pull-down menu and select FPN Image Albums

large.03-click-on-FPNImageAlbums.png.95d

This will take you to a screen where you can select the album or create a new one, let us create one:

large.04-click-on-create-new-album.png.d

This will take you to a form where you fill in your album details (and can make it private and other options, but for now just fill it in:

large.05-fill-in-details.png.d80c986c219

Once filled in, click on "Create Album"

large.06-click-on-create-album.png.9e440

And now you can start adding images, just drag and drop them of click on the + sign to get a file dialog and select them, once all have been chosen, click on "Submit all images"

large.07-add-submit-images.png.af3854089

You should see them being updated:

large.08-uploading.png.2d43f8ca18d8a978e

Afterwards you will be taken to the Album page.

You can reach the album page any time by clicking on your user picture:

large.11-click-on-face.png.9e324bae7c505

to get to your profile page, scroll down until you see the Activity tab, at its right there is an Albums tab

large.12-click-on-albums.png.45590a1ec47

You select your Album and go to the Album page (the same you got after uploading images), then on it, choose any image to display it:

large.13-select-and-open-in-new-tab.png.

You will see the image, then you can just right-click to copy the image link and paste it in your message:

large.14-copy-image-link.png.ef0db96dde5

If you notice, there are left and right arrows, clicking on them you can move through your album pictures using the arrows and when seeing any one you want to use, right-click to copy the image link and paste it on your post.

So, there, no more attachment limits.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.
