I am always surprised by the quality of your work.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

Played around with some test samples and made another grid paper art on my light board to forget the stress of work. Then later I coloured it under UV-light.

Private Reserve Neon Inks (Pink, Orange,Yellow, Green) and Rohrer and Klingner's Lotte for the grid, on Austria Papier. And, of course, UV-light.

Used my Lamy joy for the grid and a glas nib for the coloured areas.

Quite disappointed with the green. It became quite cloudy. There are two more colours of that line, Fuchsia and Blue, but they don't glow under UV. The paper is also not the best for this. Better for pencil. Don't know the grammage, my guess is 200g/m².

Overall... Colorful! 😜

This is both meta and ironic at the same time.

@Astronymus, I see what you mean about the green neon…but I still love this!  💝

Thank you very much. 🙂 Interestingly green textmarkers do the same. Not in this amount though. Must be related to the colour itself. Maybe the blue component or something.

  • 2 weeks later...

From Family Art Project yesterday.  I was asked if I had dip pens(not my week to choose the project); I did not but had un-inked fountain pens.  This is MB Hugo ink in a Pilot Petit used as a dip pen; fascinating how much red shows up when I spritzed water at it!

Nice. Look for glass pens. They take a lot of ink when dipped and are easily cleaned.

Thanks.  I've seen the glass pens online but didn't realize they would take a lot of ink- I imagined having to re-dip quite often.

I post this not for my frantic scribbles, but to show the  Denril.  I don't know what it was made of, but it's from back in the day when art supply stores handed out free samples.  The image is from a sample booklet.

I still have a page or two left of Denril, and it takes every medium you can think of.

What you can't see here is the amazing sheen, not only for fountain pen ink, but dip pen ink, and whatever 'Nexus' was.

I wonder if Denril is still being made.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

I have a glass pen that a friend of mine was giving away a few years ago.  J Herbin, came with a couple of little bottles of ink.  Cannot for the LIFE of me get it to write....

Is there some trick to it that I'm not getting?  Or do I need to do something like take sandpaper to the tip, or what?
