Mixed media- pen, pencil, pastels, charcoal.  We all used different things but the theme was candles; seemed appropriate after seeing how @Andrew_L often has to work and also in terms of the season.

I've scribbled a bit during the week. Here's the result.

 

 

 

I used Rohrer & Klingner's Lotte for the contures. Textmarkers of different brands and Pelikan's Brilliant Black, which heavily bled through and out. The paper is 90g/m² Brunnen paper.

 

And under UV-light... tadaa.

 

 

I will try flurescent inks instead of textmarkers in the near future. Already looking where to order them.

TL;DR: I just got a pocket Pilot Elite pen from the 1970s, similar to one @Andrew_L reviewed a while back. So I gave it a spin: clean, ink, try. Here is what came out of it: a Pallas cat or, in David Attenborough in Frozen Planet II, "the world's grumpiest cat" (YouTube link).

I just looked up what a Pallas cat is, and they are ADORABLE looking!  

There was some company that made stuffed toy versions of wild animals for I think National Geographic and now I'm wondering if they ever made a Pallas cat because I WANT one!

Vladyslava Chernykh could have become a scientist or a good doctor, but she gave her life for Ukraine and Ukrainians so that you and I could meet the new year, live, work and believe in our Victory. Vlada died under enemy fire on December 28.
