Or I may have misunderstood her wishes

No, you understood everything correctly. As an artist, she wanted to be as thin as possible, because she read about needlepoint in Internet, but anyone who works with nib understands that needlepoint is only for writers with big experience, just like pointed dip nibs. Ordinary fp user will not be able to appreciate these thin nibs.

Another one of the pretty woman series, I like it. I was afraid that your power may have gone out. It is strange corresponding with someone in a war zone.

Thank you! Everyone has their own way of dealing with stress, because if don't do it, can go crazy.

I was one of thousands on the ground in a shooting war 52, 53, and 54 years ago.   Speaking from experience and solely for myself, I can tell you that any touch of normality from "the real world" is greatly and gratefully appreciated.

Nice!  I have to say just looking at her face and smile as you depicted it, made me smile too.  Well done!

She looks too happy to be cold.

It's just that she is very brave, like most Ukrainians. Now we are bombed every day, but we have been resisting for 8 months. So, cold winter in freedom is better than a warm winter in slavery!

ps: Now it is 15ºC(59F) in the houses.

Very true.

I point out to my friends and associates that Ukrainians have the painful lessons of the history of slavery, starvation, pogroms, and nothing but cruelty suffered at the hands of both Imperial and Soviet Russia.  That is why you fight, and that is why you will win!

Slava Ukraine!

[ummm...is that politics?]

I got 99 problems but a BIC ain't one!

If I said I'll fix it, I will. There's no need to remind me every 6 months.

Some things are an unavoidable reality. It like: "The topic is food, but don't talk about potatoes!" Once in a while you'll have to mention them.

I suppose it is analogous to how one feels better after cold-water swimming, even if it isn't a pleasant experience. Good for her!

I don't know for her, but for me, yes,  it's better, work is soothing.

I think that she should put a sweater on; it's cold in Ukraine today. But I must say, I do like her as she is.
