I was thinking that was Jeff Bridges as Rooster Cogburn. I confirmed my suspicion by going to your link. In my opinion, there was no way someone could successfully remake a film that had starred John Wayne; the Coen brothers and Jeff Bridges managed to make a better movie than the original.

Thanks for posting these pen and ink drawings. I really enjoy seeing them.

Thanks! Yeah, I drew Jeff Bridges - but it doesn't always work out what you want to see :).

Fabulous. Do you try to match country of origin for the pen, ink, and subject matter?

In this case, 100% yes, of course. I thought that I would be looking theme to test related to Italy, as soon as this pen was in my hands, before work. Usually I try to find a theme for all(any) pens that matches it, and when I can't find the good theme, then I use another plot that likes me.

Another evocative—and timely—drawing. It's supposed to hit 110ºF=43ºC here in Las Vegas this week, but we're prepared for heat. We already had 116ºF=47ºC this summer. Canada and the Pacific Northwest in the US are not.

I just love these pen & ink drawings. The title could be interpreted in so many ways.

Thanks! I also like to draw by different fp`s, although I have my favorite favorites :). The name was given by the author of the photograph, but he was in the photo location, so he maybe understand the situation better than we (the audience).

What makes a pen one of your favorites? Have you discerned any commonalities?

80% of my predisposition is a nib - it's a heart(or enginie) of writing tool. On my preferences It should be soft (Myu and Aurora are exceptions:)), better with flex:) and give a stable and predictable line. The remaining 20% I attribute to other factors such as general comfort of grip and external beauty:)

Even though I am not an artist, your criteria parallel my own preferences. A pen has to have a good nib, and it has to fit my hand well. For general writing, I prefer a stiffer nib; if I press hard while writing, it has little impact on the results. When I am trying to write legibly—and somewhat elegantly—I prefer a softer nib. Recently, I've been enjoying my Montblanc 149 Calligraphy. It has a lovely flexible extra fine nib.
