I just found this thread. What a phenomenal pen this will be!!! I read through the many pages marking the progress from Ghost Plane's concept to design and artful calligraphy and on to the metal working.... I delight in knowing that one day I will receive a letter from Chris, written with her "Spirit Of Life." Meanwhile, I will be following this fascinating progression of events.

While FPN was down, I heard from Henry. He was finishing off a few other projects that would immediately pay the bills - don't we all know the need to immediately pay some bills?! - but was getting right back to us. Things are on track, just moving along at a deliberate pace since you can see from the photos that he's incorporating unknown design elements for the first time ever.

Henry has been busy doing adjustments to the engraving on the barrel in conjunction with our calligrapher, Salman. There's another step once the adjustments are done. BUT...drumroll please...once THAT is done, we could have a master casting in roughly 2 weeks!!! :clap1: The hallmarks are at least another week past that, give or take.

 

As you can imagine, this isn't something that's done to the clock. But we're getting close!

 

Right now, there are 8 people on the list. If anyone else wants a Spirit of Life pen, this would be a wonderful time to put your name in, so Henry knows how many he's making.

 

We're looking in the ballpark of 850 pounds sterling per pen, exchange rate subject to change without notice, but it's been drifting in a favorable direction for U.S. buyers. As of today, 1 pound = $1.48 USD for planning purposes.

 

There's still time to save up, but at some point, Henry will have to decide how many castings he's making. This isn't a mass production pen with 14 thousand out there. This is truly limited to how many Henry decides to make, based on advance requests.

Without Henry and the help of Salman Khattak, I couldn't have fulfilled my dream. The Spirit of Life pen is one of those rare events where a group of people somehow see into each other's hearts across the miles and share a vision without ever meeting, or in some cases, speaking in person.

Only on FPN can a group of like minded souls, separated by great distance, come up with something like this. We've seen it before with the Danitrio Fellowship pen and here it is again. Wonderful!

I have some news, [not all good I'm afraid] Henry is back from Cornwall, he has been in touch with the caster's, and they have not been done yet, but they are expected to be done shortly!!!
