@GP....What's the verdict dear one? You might make it to the Raleigh show, per chance? I'm afraid your SOL would be the only one available for display. I am praying your answer will be yessssss! But I completely understand if it is the opposite. Have you quite recovered from your ill spell?

Just out of interest, what happened to the writing samples that Chris was going to post on here?

It would be lovely to see how it writes!!!

I had been meaning to post about using my SOL pen again, and obviously had also promised to post a sample of my scribble! Here, for your enjoyment are a few photos..........of the writing samples of the Spirit Pen, and the smallest of my Simpole pens, the Parker Intrernational LE made for Battersea Pens Home - the "Acanthus Leaf" with fine italic factory nib by Parker!

The other photos are self-explanatory.................and show the six pens I have here - all made by our dear Henry!

Thanks Chris for showing us samples of writing with your pens with such beautiful coloured inks!

It was also nice to see your 'brood' of overlaid pens at the same time!

I have a tendency to become quite absorbed in the overlay that I am currently working on, and have discovered that I become a little 'possessive' of it as it nears completion,[i always like to have the pieces that I am working on with me when I go to Portobello Road on a Saturday, to show people]. The favoured one at the moment is a 'joint effort' with a friend, who will be making the base pens, [in Red Hard Rubber], to complement my overlay, the pattern is based on the early Parker Eye-dropper 'Droplet' pattern, [the main difference being that there will be more 'red' showing in proportion to the metal, in comparison to the Waterman's droplet pattern.]

I am hoping that I will be able to get some pictures on here very soon.

GP would not approve of the Saibi Togi nib on that Sailor.

GP found herself with a BB nibbed Namiki Falcon. ;)

I know this is OT...........(that is Off Topic Henry!) but I think we should see GP's writing with that BB Falcon - what do you say??? :notworthy1:

Yeah!

GP, they're the ones the IB and BB, unless going 'OT' is FU!!! [Frowned upon!]

OOps! I think I must be going down with a case of ILS [initial Letter Syndrome!] At least it's not as bad as the 'Warm Fussies!!!'

Come on then Ghost Plane, how about it?

Has anyone heard anything from Miranda BTW? There it is again!!! It's a bad case of ILS!

No shaking my head makes it worse!!!

I've spoken to an expert in this field [actually it was in his surgery, but that's another story!] and I was told that ILS is symptomatic of CAD [computer addiction disorder] and was told that shaking of the head is a form of 'denial', and I was advised not to do it, as this might result in it becoming worse!

So GP, how's the sample writing coming along?

STYS,

Where did we put the 'comfy chair?' Shakes head!

TIW, [That is worse!]
