Spirit Of Life design by Henry Simpole

Thank you Ghost Plane, schadowrider and Chris. My intent was to show the line variation in normal cursive writing after meddling with the nib a bit. Its still smooth enough to write quickly with which is what I was attempting with the translation. I wrote the Arabic at a slower than blazing pace but it doesn't quite show the line variation (I should've gotten the IB :headsmack: )

RED I think!!! :roflmho: :roflmho: :roflmho:

Truffle Finder.

Right on TF - the ink is Skrip Red mixed with a little bit of Pelikan Brown. The PB makes the ink a little redder.

I'm envious of people who can write nicely in more than one language/alphabet.

Got to get my scanner fixed. :headsmack:

I took it to mean that it will probably take as long to see a writing sample from me as it took to create the pen.

I still can't put this thing down!

So, I lost track if it was 2 or 3 people looking for a 2nd round of the pens. There's even a vicious rumor going around that a doctor might want a rollerball made to take places FPs are forbidden. :yikes:

How's everyone else getting along with theirs?

As I pointed out here a few days ago, Henry will probably require a brief rest after the Goldsmith's Hall Exhibition [which ends today], so if anyone is waiting for replies to E-mails please be patient!

News update will be posted here, or on the other thread shortly, maybe even some photographs!

I've just finished a long letter with mine, and I'm loving it more and more, if that is possible! The IF nib is really getting my vote - even though I usually go for wider nibs, when I use two other of Henry's pens with IM and IB nibs I just want to get back to the IF - now, who would have thought that???? :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

You see the problem with the SOL pen is that it has a very high fond-a-bility index. I was showing it around at the Thanksgiving dinner tanle tonight and everyone needed to try it out. I then sat and sipped my post dinner Glen Morangie while holding the pen. It just feels right and looks really too good. So what is a guy to do.

Truly unlike any of my other pens. It has been the very best birthday gift to myself that i have ever purchased.

Miranda! How are you getting on with your SOL pen? The last time you posted on here you were having problems. Has it settled down, or are you still not happy with the nib?

It would be interesting to know how you have got on with it.

Had a Persian friend over [NOT the Diversion] and she adores the pen. Wants to know if I'm going to design more pens in future! :gaah: :yikes:

Hmph! Like I didn't have to sell half my collection to do this one  :headsmack:

This was one of those things that won't let you sleep at night until you do it.

I guess I'll wait until the [ahem!] Spirit moves me.
