Spirit Of Life design by Henry Simpole

Cadfael tex: You'll have to go back to page 15 of this thread to see what everybody is so excited about!!!

This thread was started in November, sorry correction the 'Idea' for the pen started to take shape in November of last year, but it took a long time to formulate everything that was wanted in the design. I think that the main reason for all the excitement, is because it has taken so long to accomplish.

Do go back to page 15 and have a look! Then tell everyone what you think.

So I scanned this thread and still a bit lost. Can someone give me a short idea of what is this pen everyone is waiting for and why you are all so excited :)

You will also need to stoically go through the 'Has anyone heard of Henry Simpole?' thread where the idea originally started.

Ghost Plane had this dream for a pen that could somehow represent a spiritual dimension. And we all jumped on the bandwagon. I mean this idea then became something that transcended any particular belief system and across the globe, some of us went in on the project to own a pen that carried an Arabic text of the experience of the Spirit of Life.

Sorry, a bit muddled. Haven't had the life-restoring morning cup of triple espresso yet.

I bring good tidings! The SOL pens will be in the capable hands of Fed-X this afternoon.

Not earth shattering news, but I just thought I would let you know.

Henry will be E-mailing the tracking numbers later today.

I'll be doing my happy dance all day.

Truffle, don't worry about the reactions of the newcomers. They haven't had the opportunity to hold or dip a Simpole yet, so they don't understand the ecstasy we feel at the idea of owning one.

I suspect the Spirit either speaks so you or it doesn't.

Years from now, people on this board will shake their heads and tell their children, "I remember the discussion about those pens and couldn't figure out what all the excitement was about."

And we will smile wisely and give our pens another drink.

Oh!Great and mighty wise one!

Your words express the wisdom gleaned from the experience of life,a life which has come from the 'Spirit of Life'.

...........Perhaps you can enlighten us more Oh! Great and mighty wonder!!!

Hmph! And there I was ready to jack it up on blocks in the front yard in finest redneck tradition.

Just remember to scatter empty Bud Light cans around it and then dance in the sprinkler.

About the pen:  it is beautiful!  I wish I could afford one, but I'm a student, and well...students are dirt poor.

Soli Deo Gloria!

Void your warranty, violate a user agreement, fry a circuit, blow a fuse, poke an eye out!

Wow!!! Mine has visited Paris and is en-route to goodness knows where on the long haul - due here 4th October, but that may become the 5th as Fedex have to sub-contract deliveries to this little island - they are too big to bother!

I'm a very happy bunny!!! :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01: that's a bunny for each day of the journey!

Each day is the start of the rest of your life!

Make it count!!!

Guess being right over the pond was a good thing for once. Mine's due in the morning if the garbled phone message is to be believed. :yikes: We were having severe weather, so the electrics were a bit up and down while it was recording.

Still don't have a clue what ink I'll put in it. I suspect I'll spend a lot of time just looking before I ever take it out of the box.

I bet it is out of the box and into your hands in mere moments. Just so you can see the calligraphy and make out the hallmarks and well just to feel it in your hands.
