18 x Sailor Nagasawa Kobe Inks

1. Are any water-resistant?

2. I'd be afraid to see a Noodlers label depicting the name of Kobe #5.

 

I did water tests tonight on the original display of the 18, and the new 9 (ignore my saying "11" in previous post) Hougado Pen Gallery inks, but Photobucket is flaking out tonight, so I'll post them tomorrow.

 

You will all be happy to know that the Black Dong hung proudly against the water....couple others as well, but none with the same poetic prowess.

Here is the wet results. Dipped side of paper in and out of tray of water for 30-45 seconds.

Just thought I'd mention for anyone interested that they've updated the boxes on these inks. They are now all black with white lines for the Kobe design.

 

12 of these just landed in my mailbox yesterday and I can't wait to try them out! And I was in such a daze of excitement, I accidentally ordered six more. Oops!!

Reviving a somewhat stagnant thread here, but Sam's sample of #9 Suma Purple makes me wonder how it compares to the Sailor seasonal LE, Shigure. I missed out on Shigure, but if #9 is similar, that would be swell.

They are actually incredibly different. Purple Suma has a red base, Shigure has a blue base. Purple Suma leans towards gray in the lighter areas, Shigure leans towards a rich blue-purple.
