Waterman Audace 2010

Hello everyone. I am very glad to have become a member of the this forum (its heartening to see that I am not the only crazy person totally fascinated by pens and penmanship!).

 

I have recently started collected Waterman Audace pens - I really like the lacquar work on them, and the colours are extremely vivid and rich. The pens also sits beautifully in the hand, and I enjoy writing with them. Does anyone know when Waterman last released a new design? I see from their website that several of the designs in production hail from about 3 years ago (around 2007). Do they release new designs annually - I saw an article a while back that indicated that Audace pens were usually released as part of the Paris Fashion week? Does anyone know if there will be new designs for 2010/2011?

 

I also see that some of the earlier designs (Cordoba leather, for example) are not featured on their website, and I suppose that these are no longer in production?

 

Some info on this range would be great.

That's a good question, probably not in 2010.

 

I am very surprised too, but some of the last models have not had the success expected (Nomad or Smart Code for example) and it is perhaps difficult to find patterns which will have a big success (like Enchanten Garden or Indian Vibes) , probably more difficult than to make a pen in laque blue, black, chrome....J.M.L.
