You will like Waterman's Red, Roger, is nice, the color is super and has all the superlative properties of the Waterman's Inks. A must.

I agree, a great red for anyone looking for a real red ink that works as well as any of the other Waterman inks. It is also extremely lightfast compared to most other inks.

Here is a link to a lightfastness test that I did with Waterman Red ink.

Exactly what I am looking for, a bright reddish red. Cheap too!

Only one concern, can someone tell me if and how much it bleeds in a M nib. I use cheap collegeblock paper, but am too cheap to do all my work on nicer paper.

Thanks

edit: Asking this because the Waterman Purple I have does bleed, even in a F.

Is funny. I've read here a couple comments about feathering with the Purple. Is my daily ink. Never had a problem with feathering nor bleeding with W. Purple. And I run a good couple bottles down per year at least. Maybe the paper? If you have problems with it, you can send it over anytime ;) !! ;)

No feathering nor bleeding at all. Even on cheap copy paper. So no concerns.

I picked up some Waterman Red recently after reading this thread. It's a beautifully rich and vibrant red with good flow and smoothness (sorry XBaucus BillX, can't agree with you on that).

This is my red for editing and other mark-up.

It is the red I think of when I think of "red."

Well-behaved, good flow, very smooth for me out of a variety of vintage and new fine point pens.
