amazing pen

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Thanks Chris and Georges!

You will certainly receive a letter soon.

I adore this pen and while the current nib is not one of my favourites I just love holding it and watching the ink sloshing around.

It will be a permanent part of the rotation I think.

the demo looks cool. But it just doesn't feel elegant and classy as the precious black resin. Maybe it because the ink flowing on the head section is kinda messy.

Thus springs to mind................."each to his (or her) own!!"

I love the look of the clear material........somehow it makes using ink much more of an adventure when you are so near and yet can't touch it apart from the end of the nib!!

It took me a while to appreciate a demonstrator and slowly accept that the "messiness" is part of the fun after all. If 14X demonstrators are available as a regular range, I'll pick it up in a heartbeat.

Thanks for sharing the photos!

Life is like Chinatown signage, its cluttering, confusing but everything that you need is there, just have to look harder....

Very nice! I really like them when they are all clear! What ink are you using in it?

Bry

Hey Bry

As an ode to your filling of the skeleton 333 wih waterman ssb I am filling this also with a turquoise, the Visconti I buy from you

It is a brilliant ink with good shading in this fine nib.

This is like my cheaper version of a skeleton

Thank you!

The demonstrators in 146 or 149 are not so easily found, and not a regular production pen, hence this thread and multiple of these icons :puddle: :puddle: :puddle:

I hope you find one

I showed this thread to my wife and she asked where could I get one. I told her they are rare and few and far between. She was willing to buy it right now, cost be damned. She bought me a Pelikan M1005 demonstrator last year, which I love, and thinks that a 149 would look great sitting next to it. I must say I have the greatest wife/enabler in the word. She also agreed to the Panerai watch that I want as soon as I can find it for a price that is right.

Where does one search for these pens? Does it take a secret handshake and back alley meetings to acquire such a beautiful pen?

Thank you, I am so pleased you appreciate it reprieve!

Using it all day at work till it was empty.

What a joy.

I don't think I'll ever get tired looking at it.

The problem is if I only take three pens to work what is going to give??
