1942 Parker Vacumatic Shadow Wave

I thought you guys might like to see what a real transitional Shadow Wave looks like. It has the correct 1942 date code on the barrel but something is a little odd with the clip. It's like the top diameter is too small and won't fit correctly. I picked this up in late January and had a great time restoring it. It came out great too! What do you think?

You made a great job, cosmetically at least, it looks stunning. The gold trimming was cleaned with some special product? or simply a jeweller towel?

It is gratifying the way the trim on those wartime pens can clean up. I will now go sulk in a corner, jealous and wanting of any shadow waves of my own.

I think it came out very ugly and uninteresting, but I'll take it off Your hands, just as a favour... /Tony

Thanks for the compliments!

I polished the trim with celluloid polish and a rag and polished the body and cap with micromesh, starting at 1200 grit (i think) and going up to 12,000. That's about it.
