Do you like/use Letter Openers?

There are more than a few letter openers around but I usually use a boning knife, which because of its tapered blade is ideal for insertion into the sometimes tiny opening near the top of an envelope.

 

A hawkbill pocket knife is my preferred tool for opening boxes.  Both of these knifes live in a cache on my breakfast table with several pairs of good scissors.  (My breakfast room is adjacent to my kitchen so if I need to bone a ham, it is merely a short walk to retrieve the boning knife.)
