Any other Diamond Point owners out there want to share their pictures and opinions ?

 

 

Though I do not have the volume of pens seen in previous posts, I do have a yellow Diamond Point, produced prior to the declining quality of this interesting Company...

According to SouthernScribe's for-sale pages (http://www.thesouthernscribe.com/vintage-pens/other-brands.html) Diamond Point plugged on after their golden age into the early 1950s, at which point they were making far less prestigious pens. I have one from this vintage and it is still a very nice pen.

Here's a writing sample using a Diamond Point flat-top oversize with a 14K Warranted Superflex nib: Fine to Broad. The ink in this writing sample is Noodler's Turquoise. Paper is Rhodia Block 13

The ink used in the writing samples above is Noodler's Turquoise. Paper is Block Rhodia No.13

The combination of the nib, paper, ink, proper ink flow and proper pressure applied creates that gorgeous color shading ... that is "the ultimate writing experience" in my humble opinion!

Cream with Red Veining and gold trim ... amazing color with some darkening on the cap

5 5/16" long (capped)

Slim profile when compared to a Diamond Point Oversize Flat Top ... about the same diameter as a Waterman 52

Fitted with a 14K Warranted medium flex nib

Made in USA in 1920s

The second picture, close-up of the clip on the cream with red veining cap, depicts the rombus with the "NEW" imprint. That imprint only appeared on Diamond Point pens made after year 1920. You can compare it to the clip in the gold overlay pen. There is no rombus with the "NEW" imprint, meaning that pen was made prior to year 1920.

 

Phenomenal vintage pens with some very interesting color patterns not available in most pens with flexible nibs of that era.

Have added a few more Diamond Points to the collection. Here's my favorite ... a Diamond Point in Jade Green hard rubber from the 1930s. Did some writing samples and posted it as a mini ink review

 

 

Diamond Point fountain pen in Jade Green hard rubber from the 1930s with a 14k Warranted #4 Superflex nib that writes a fine to double broad line. This is one of my favorite pens due to it phenomenal flexy writing capabilities and its exterior ... a jade green color in hard rubber with domed ends, shaped like a Conklin Crescent.

It looks like you have a Diamond Point pen made in the 1940s. However, your picture does not display to much detail about the clip and other features of that pen. Very pretty celluloid color. Enjoy it.
