At any price see picture below

Below $120... Probably a custom by Dr. Goretex...my Newton pen would be there too but it was over $120 (as would be a custom Dr. Goretex at this point I suspect)... Sadly I don't have pictures handy....

That's a tough choice to make - I guess about 50% of the pens I own would qualify and each of them is very attractive in their own right. I just took some pictures of these 2 beauties yesterday and they are definitely on the list: Ferrari da Varese Botticellis, with dark and white mother of pearl respectively.

My most beautiful pen is the S.T. Dupont Montparnasse XL "beehive". The colour in reality is more honey-like and clearer than on the pic :

Under $120, I would go for a S.T. Dupont Gatsby "gold dust" (brown lacquer with gold dust in it) I grabbed from the bay.

That's like asking me which is the most beautiful of my three daughters....unanswerable

I fully agree with you (and mine are FOUR...).

But if I really had to answer, I'd say Danitrio Mikado tame midori and Pelikan M605 solid blue (got it for 90€!), respectively.

Eight years ago I saw a picture of the Montblance writers series pen honoring Miguel de Cervantes for 2005.

I was in love at first sight. puddle.gif

Finally, for my 60th birthday this month, I bought the pen.

Yes I am still in love. I have even been giving away pens in my collection because now I have the "one".

Now I can write in peace.

I'll answer one of your questions.

For a reasonably priced attractive pen, I would look to a Sheaffer Targa or (with a higher finish level) a Waterman CF.

In terms of more expensive pens, here's one that got away from me on eBay. . . .

To me, that's practically the definition a "classic" fountain pen. B)

And it was a factory stub to boot.

Lovely pen, my favorite so far.

Do you know what model it is?

Maybe you figured it out by now, since it's been quite a while since you asked....but the pen is a Wahl Eversharp Oversize Gold Seal Decoband pen....great pens, have a bunch of them....

Impossible question.

Why do I keep coming back to my British Duofolds for the answer?

Just plain black cigaroid pens, minimal brassy gold furniture.

Beautiful to my eyes.

My recent purchase of Nakaya Portable writer housoge kikyo (blue) with platinum inlay, is probably the most beautiful pen in my small collection:
