What Does Your Handwriting Look Like

Vaibhav, your penmanship is clear, easily legible and has a consistency that lends grace to your writing. I've always avoided dotting the letter "i" with a circle because of my associations with the practice, but you make it palatable.

That ebonite pen is indeed a beauty. I've just discovered Skrip Brown and, after some hesitation thinking it's too red, have embraced it. It's a warm, elegant color.

Signore Piano has a point, but clearly doesn't have neighbors like mine. The only way I can avoid their bad music is to get in my car and leave.

Thank you. Really appreciate this

Sheaffer Brown is an under rated ink. Has good shading properties. I love it and its easily available here for around 5 USD for 60 ml bottle.

You sold me on the ASA Daily; I just placed an order. (I figured it out, so please ignore my PM) Dark brown ripple with a fine Schmidt nib. Will review here on FPN after a test drive.

I thank you much for this valuable information! I just ordered the Daily in Green with an F German nib. Can't wait to give it a whirl! It seemed like too great a bargain to pass up...especially with a nice German nib so as to avoid the Ahab Syndrome...ha!

Hi there,
Here is mine. I'm not at all satisfied with it, but it's okay. :P

Not my typical everyday writing. I usually write slower with more care when I know I'll share it :D

Far from perfect for writing neatly, this A5 notepad with horrible paper presents very realistic conditions. I use this Mont Blanc Starwalker Carbon on a daily basis and it has helped my writing enormously, but there is a long way to go.

Let me know what you think!

PS: Ironically, the two words I messed up in this sample are "Handwriting" and "Improvement"...

Thanks, and well noted! Well, legibility is a start. Usually I scribble quite fast.

Your writing is beautiful, readable, and very unique...it also has a lot of expression. I really like it.

Hi,

here's my handwriting. In the upper half the cursive that I am used to. But in the last weeks I've started to print, so it would be easier to read. So what do you think?

(The text is the opening of a, well, actually humorous poem by Mörike. To make sure everyone would notice the – humour notwithstanding – grave and serious nature of its subject Mörike wrote the poem in hexameters. It's about roasted pig's trotters going from favourite meal to least favourite meal due to overexposure. :) )

Bartimaeus,

I like your cursive because it has character. I find it legible; even though I don't understand Norwegian, the letters are well defined and easy to read. Your print is also clear and legible but I prefer cursive as it says more about the person that wields the pen (and that has an unending fascination).

Cheers,

David.

Thank you, David.

It's my pleasure, though I'm a little disappointed that you didn't say, "It's not Norwegian", as I had set up a silly attempt to recycle an old joke. Here it is anyway.

A BMW speeds past two friends on the autobahn ...

Friend 1: "Superb cars, Mercedes".

Friend 2: "That wasn't a Mercedes -- it was a BMW".

Friend 1: "I didn't say it was a Mercedes".

Just substitute comments about German and Norwegian.

OK, it's just not funny.

I'll get my coat.

Cheers,

David.
