What Does Your Handwriting Look Like

My handwriting in Greek and English cursive when I'm making a moderate effort to be neat. Very prone to too-closed counters because of using too big a nib for my hand. Parker 51 medium nib with Akkerman Parkpop Purper.

This is mine just Starting to learn spencerian script. Please let me know your feedback be it positive or negative.

I don't much care for your capitals, but it is otherwise a nice hand. The only suggestion I could make would be to either write it bigger, or use a finer nib, so that your 'e' does not become an 'i'.

Cheers,

Martín

Thank you so much Mr. Martin for your feedback will use finer nib and will practice on my 'e'. Will post back again after my practicing.

mac47,

Interesting exercise. I don't understand greek but I like the different aproach.

Bronze,

Nice italic and nice fountain pens. The MB 149 is one of may graals.

Houston,

Nice handwriting and congrats for your Nakaya!

shoz_on4u,

You give a nice "patina" with your Spencerian penmanship on yellow paper.

The 'Uploads' option is available only to Gold member I believe.

SuperNib44 - how are you trying to attach a picture? If you are using the 'Image' option in the editor, it only allows you to link to a file which is then shown in the post. You can upload your picture to an image hosting service like flikr etc. and then link to it.

Alternately, you can use the full editor (by clicking on the 'More Reply Options' at the bottom right of the editor) and you'll see file upload and attach options. You'll need to click on 'Attach this file' after uploading your file. The disk quota for this option is rather limited.

Hi I'm new to this forum and I'm really enjoying the posts on this thread. Edgar Allan Bo - you have a beautiful hand. Just out of interest, what fountain pen is that? It's very nice!

I'm a hook-over lefty. This is my everyday cursive italic. I'm trying to learn Spencerian right now, though. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7070/6790694016_dd832d5c5c_z.jpg

One of the ways that I practice is by writing words that are on college tests or the LSAT or some other vocabulary words. Then I write them in a pattern. If I just wrote words over and over, I'd feel like I'd wasted time, but I try and make it artistic. At the end of the day, I've improved my penmanship, my spelling, and I have something a little creative to show for it.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

In the 1970s, whilst deeply involved in researching my famil;y history as a hobby, I obtained a copy of this will, dated 1656, of one of my direct ancestors

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd289/caliken_2007/Will-original800.jpg

Unfortunately, I could decipher very little of it, so I commissioined a "translation" which made fascinating reading. Rather than just file away the typed copy, I decided that this would make a great subject for my Italic handwriting, and the result, framed alongside the original document, makes an interesting display.

Although this dates from 35 years ago, I was interested to see that my handwriting has changed very little since then.

Not my best - this is like my quick note-taking writing at work. I don't get the opportunity to 'write nicely' much these days :)

vmv84,

I loved your handwriting. If this sample is a quick note, I'm very curious about your "write nicely" sample.
