It's lovely! Not that we English writers have much to compare it to, but I've seen Persian written many times, and for that matter Hebrew and a bit of Arabic. From an untrained eye, the second sample looks better. Funny how saffron is red, but it comes out more orange/yellow. Guess that's why people sometimes use turmeric when saffron is too expensive!

Only saffron may be used for fountain pen, turmeric is very dangerous, it is more dangerous than india ink and 100% will destroy fountain pen at the first time. Beside of it, the color of saffron is unique, turmeric hasn't such strong and deep orange color as saffron has. The color of saffron is fire color, it changes from light orange to dark orange during writing of every letter or word and the text looks like flame.

Haha... sorry, I meant in cooking where people cheat and use turmeric! Not in ink! The saffron ink is gorgeous!

You must be kidding right? That's one of the most calligraphic and legible handwriting I've ever seen. Wish I was able to write at least half as beautiful :notworthy1:

 Thank you, but I wouldn't call it.. calligraphic. Some of the writing here almost looks like it was typed up! o.o My biggest pain the behind right now is how my 'o' looks like 'a' when I link it. :headsmack:

Your handwriting is not bad, it is easy readable. Just train some times, use penmanship and calligraphy books and it will be very beautiful.

Write and enjoy the process.

This is a good Idea! I'll post a 'before & after' pic once my handwriting improves!

It is really interesting seeing the different ways people write. I tend to write in cursive because it's faster for me, but most of the time I don't really think about the shapes that I am making on paper. I think it would be cool to learn calligraphy, but I cannot think of any time when I might actually use it.

This was a poem I found in a random book of Czech decadent poetry that I acquired when I visited Prague. The samples are written in J. Herbin Poussiere de Lune (one of my favorite colors) with a Noodler's Ahab Flex Pen... I haven't exactly learned how to write with flex yet, so you don't really see any flexing in this.

Also, I do not normally despise following lines. I don't know why that happened.

Easier to read too. Good job!

This is my current handwriting, nothing special, but I'm still trying to improve. Any advise?!

I've practiced (a lot) since I last posted to this thread. So, here's a new sample, on Rhodia No 18 with a Wahl Lady Doric pen with an adjustable nib.

Now you're cookin' with gas, bro! Most excellent. That's what I'm talkin' about; this is what I like to see. Thanks for posting it.

Really nice handwriting!

My note taking script. Fast to work with and it doesn't have to be all that pretty. This even less so because of a stressed morning. Pen is my only fountain a Levenger L-Tech 9 inked with raven black.post-99182-0-56174100-1360337455.jpg
