Good morning,

after quite some training, I finally came to a handwriting that I would consider worth showing:

This is a page from the story I am currently writing.

Well, handwriting may change from time to time. And it may become a bit unsteady when you're writing something you're not used to. It's been long since I wrote these pangrams for the last time.

I've just adored looking through this thread! So many beautiful hands to browse through, and it really makes me want to start collecting pens and ink! Here are some samples of my handwriting - a quote I selected to get in the rhythm of writing, and a to-do list I wrote today.

I want to remake my signature. I never "updated" it when I got married, and although it isn't legible really, so it didn't matter, I very much want to learn to write the letter "K" in a pleasing way. I dislike the way I write them now, which is one of the reasons I never changed my signature! Anyhow, here we go:

These were written with a Lamy Safari in a notebook I got for free from the company where I used to work (a major eastern US railroad).

Apologies for the terrible photo, but I only have my phone's camera and bad lighting to work with. I hope it's still legible.

Anyway, that's a sample of my handwriting. Could anyone give me some pointers on how to improve it? I'm mostly after legibility - the poem is written at my normal pace, but when I'm taking notes I write quickly, and my handwriting deteriorates even more. Unfortunately, my notes are rather useless if I can't read them in the first place. I do it for homework, too; I once had homework handed back with a comment that said "is this even English?"

I greatly envy this sample, the consistency and beauty is inspiring!

This small example of Italic handwriting with underlinked ligatures, was written with a Pelikan M200 fitted with an Italic nib produced by Richard Binder.

Can any of you direct me to a good book on this style of handwriting? I really like it.

I think it is slowly improving. Very slowl. These lines really help a lot too.
