Here's a recent sample of italic practice. It's better than my skritchy daily hand but I've still a long ways to go:

There are some particularly beautiful examples in this thread! Here's my little contribution. Unfortunately I have a rather strong propensity towards abnormally long ascenders and descenders. :embarrassed_smile:

I'm a big fan of long descenders myself, no worries! I find it fun to use them, even if it messes up my page because I have to use college ruled notebooks [well, it messes up anything unless you're taking care with your kerning...]

 

I should probably post another example as my handwriting's been changing. I'm trying to convert to arm movements and to using business script. I'll get there eventually! I should practice ornamental spencerian with my dip pens as well, that'll probably make a difference.

working on modifying a Cross fountain pen by grinding the nib myself; i may tweak it some more. this is my normal quick handwriting.

A little embarrassing. Needs work, but I've come a long way from a few years ago. Sorry for the color, I can't get my scanner to not wash things out so badly.
