What Does Your Handwriting Look Like

Here are some examples of mine. The first one was part of a draft of an article which has now been published. The second one was my 'doodling' while taking a break from writing the above article.

Love it! Reminds me of some circa 1860's diaries & letters I've seen in museums.

Couldn't stop my self from posting my own so here goes nothing.

Might not be as good as some of you here though, but i like to think i.ll be there someday.

I would prefer the upper writing the writing below that did not turn out as good as the one above it.

Here's mine. Sorry about the blurry photo, it's the camera. Please let me know your thoughts.

Wow! Whenever I see this form, I am reminded of watching that first animated version of LOTR by Ralph Bakshi, and of reading the trilogy. It was also around that time I really became enthralled with calligraphy.

I don't think my handwriting looks that terrible, so I guess I'll add it to this thread. I turned up the contrast for clarity.

This is a phonetic pangram, containing all the sounds in the English language. I misquoted it -- it should say "on the waters of the loch", not just "on the waters" -- but oh well. This sample turned out to be the most consistent of all of the ones I wrote.

This is my handwriting, on very toothy ivory coloured paper, that is why the ink flow is so dry.

It depends on the nib... (I'm far too impatient to do formal copperplate or italics so I'm trying to develop a style that allows me to write fast, with some panache, yet within the bounds of legibility (albeit dancing on the edge, I admit.)

Semi-flex:

or Italic:

I love seeing everyone's handwriting! Mine seems to always be changing... maybe because I've never have gotten into a consistent practice or most likely I just need to slow down and enjoy life.

Mine usually looks like post-87774-0-07923800-1340048288.jpg

But once I started using a fountain pen, I find it usually goes to post-87774-0-06910600-1340048300.jpg, still with a lot of focus.

Recently (as of the last couple of days), I've been trying to write more italic and this is the result post-87774-0-75776100-1340048310.jpg. It's not the most practical yet.

I'm thinking I just need to buy an italic pen to help out with this ;)

I was grousing about my own handwriting that I'm trying to improve, so I figured I should post what it looks like...

Flexible dip pen, writing as fast as I could on unlined paper:

http://i.imgur.com/olSS8.jpg

I wrote many pages, this is part of one of them. My handwriting could be better and hopefully will be, but I'm satisfied at this stage that "copperplate" handwriting does not disintegrate at speed, that the loops aid with speed without impairing legibility and that the caps are effective cursive forms.

It's also working well with fountain pens, ballpoints, gel pens &c.

First post! I know my handwriting is atrocious (to put it mildly), but I've been working on it and it's actually improved a bit. I really wish I could swing some of the beautiful scripts I've seen on here. Great job to all of you for having beautiful handwriting.

Hello.

I have attempted to change my handwriting after joining FPN and seeing some amazing penmanship on the forum and receiving lot of encouragement and guidance from a colleague and fellow FPNer. Its only work in progress so be gentle!!

Here are two samples of my handwriting.

Photo 1 is from when i just started using fountain pens and didn't know how to write the cursive alphabet

photo 2 is recent after few weeks of practise

In both photos i have written at my normal writing speed.
