Woke up this morning wanting to flex so here's another sample just for fun ! Daily practice hand rather than daily handwriting :)

My favorite children's song. Top half written with Pelikan Souveran M400 fine nib and Waterman Florida Blue. The bottom half was written with a Lamy Safari fine nib and J. Herbin Lierre Sauvage (green).

An eye for insignificant details is a good sign you will do just fine in medical school...

As a sharp wit and powerful sarcasm is a sign that you already have.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who likes to handwrite song lyrics.

Nicely done.

I have no experience with flexible nibs at all, but one of my medium nibbed pens has some flex to it so I decided to experiment, here's the rather clumsy result. My regular handwriting's at the bottom.

Thanks! I find it easier to pay attention to form if I'm not paying attention to content. So someone else's words are always better to write. Though, as you can see, I'm still working on the form :)

You and me both. Sometimes I fewel I have enough trouble just remembering my name let alone something interesting to write about, especially when practicing. One can only do figures and forms for so long.

We will work on our penmanship first...then we will let ourselves get creative! Best of luck!

I write differently every time I pick up a pen, it seems, or every time I change inks, sometimes automatically, sometimes on purpose. This is from last night.

The brown ink is PR Fiesta Red + Lamy Black. The paper is a very old engineering notebook.

Anna, I really admire both of your styles; flex or no flex! I especially like the shading of the ink in your regular handwriting sample - would you mind sharing what sort of ink you were using? Thanks! :)

Thank you  The bottom sample is written in Waterman Havana Brown with a Pelikan M200 (OB nib). Here's another sample with the same pen/ink combination. Unfortunately my Greek is rather less elegant but as I started writing I was amazed I still knew this by heart...

Thank you :) ! I'm hoping to develop it. I think I need to try and find the right pace when writing with a flexible nib and work on getting a more regular style. It's an adjustment from using a non-flexible nib but I'm enjoying that. I also got an italic / calligraphy nib recently which I'm planning to experiment with.
