So this isn't really the right place for this, but not sure where it goes and I just asked about it here...

The actual thread for this ink will not allow me to post it there because it's too old. (Mods feel free to move/delete/fix/whatever)

After finding out what ink Doug was using, I inquired of JetPens the possibility of ordering it from them since it appeared they were out based on their website.

I got the following response, and since I am new I am not sure it's common knowledge so I thought I'd share.

Unfortunately, we have stopped carrying the Noodler's bottle inks and will not be restocking them, so what is left on the site is all we have. I apologize for the inconvenience. I also am not sure where else you can buy the specific sepia color you are looking for, I'm sorry I could not be of more help!

So if JetPens was your source for Noodlers and you were unaware of this, now you know.

Sass, that's kinda sad. The ink was a Jetpens exclusive I think, but Noodler's tends to make many varieties of similar ink. They have an "Old Dutch Colony Sepia" and a "Singapore Sepia" that might be similar. I'll be investigating when I start running out, but that won't be for a while. If you find anything, please be sure to report in.

Now returning you to the "What does your handwriting look like thread..."

And here's my chicken scratches to help make up for the derail...

Hopefully once I get back into the practice of writing, it'll improve and even out some.

If you could please ignore the fact that it, as of yet, has absolutely no personality, that would be most kind of you. That's something that I hope will come once I've mastered the basics...

Personally I love it...and I do find personality

I like the consistency in the higher lowercase letters (y's included)

They are so perfectly symmetrical, very well done

HDoug, this is wonderful. I'd love to be able to write straight without lines. Can you tell me what you use for a journal? The paper looks lovely.

I love the variety, individuality, and quality of the handwriting in this thread!

Here's a photo I took for the "What pen are you using today" thread that shows my actual journal handwriting without divulging anything personal. I had just polished my prettiest pen, a Pelikan M620 Grand Place and it was so slick I dropped it and it dropped a blobs of ink on my journal.

Doug is quite amazing, I can write straight without line, but only with allot of effort... :roflmho:And it usually kills my writings flair... I should update my posting here on that note!

Thanks for your comments! Writing in straight lines is just practice. It was one of my goals and I just practiced. That's all.

The journal is a Kunst & Papier journal. I'm okay with it. I like the Lalo cahiers of the same size (A4) but they don't make them any more. Here's a review I did a couple of years ago.

I've noticed that my twsbi ef also has a semi flex type of variation

"Once committed to fight, cut. Everything else is secondary. Cut. That is your duty, your purpose, your hunger. There is no rule more important, no commitment that overrides that one. Cut. Cut from the void, not from bewilderment. Cut the enemy as quickly and directly as possible. Cut decisively, resolutely. Cut into the enemy's strength. Flow through the gaps in his guard. Cut him. Cut him down utterly. Don't allow him a breath. Crush him. Cut him without mercy to the depths of his spirit."

Well it does have a bit of spring to the nib... can get some line variation out of it... wouldnt try it with one of my Parker 51s... that would ruin the nib in short order.
