What ink is this? Lovely and handwriting is great too.

Thanks, Michele. :) The ink is Poussère de Lune (Moondust) by J. Herbin, for which there are many apologists on this board. (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)

It's a bit blurry, taken quickly this morning, but gives an overall impression of my handwriting:

Ok ok, this isn't with a fountain pen, and its blurry but it is the only picture I can produce of my handwriting for now. Basically, my handwriting with a fp is the same, just messier and clumsier looking. Need more practice.

Ha! I'm missing a word in there.

Thanks. It is one of my faves, but looks different in so many pens. Glad to see I am consistent in blind inkings and glad I already have it and don't have to buy it now!

Off-topic, but Pink Floyd is brilliant. Was just listening to Echoes: Best of Pink Floyd, now that is music!

No specific style but my own... I have a tendency to write caps as separate characters from the rest of the word, I also suck royally at writing in even, straight lines... I think my writings would look a world better if I could just keep the lines straight and equally spaced... Anyways, let me know what you think!

The pen is a Regal "Elizabeth" fountain pen, a pretty good writer with a nice heavy solid metal barrel... (looks a bit like a knock-off of a Montblanc Marcel Proust) It was a cheap eBay find, $23 including shipping, brand new, with 3 carts and a converter. Ink used is Bethge No. 5 (a private label by J. Herbin)

Currently Inked:

Montegrappa Extra 1930 Shiny Lines "Dove" L.E. (05/80) - Montblanc Permanent Grey (90yr Anniversary)

Pineider Arco - Monteverde Scotch Brown

Montblanc Rouge et Noir - Montblanc Bleu Nuit

Montblanc Meisterstuck Ultra Black - Pilot Iroshizuku Take-Sumi

Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age Maxi - J. Herbin Lie de Thé

I'd like to ask you guys in advance to pardon the shakiness. I was doing a lot of fine motor exercises at fencing practice last night and my forearm hasn't really recovered. My handwriting is usually a bit smoother.

This is how I write when a professor is talking faster than I can process:

http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/1743/scrawl.jpg

This is how my handwriting looks (usually somewhat neater) when I'm copying those notes so they're legible:

http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/9540/neat.jpg

...and this is my cursive. As you can see, it has no character and never really progressed beyond what I was taught in 3rd grade (aside from the impractically long ascenders and descenders which appear to have taken on a life of their own):

And here's a picture of some recent physics notes to prove I'm not crazy about the usual lack of shakiness:

Woohoo, EE!

Zwingtip: Your "fast" printing looks almost exactly like mine did before starting to relearn how to handwrite (since then it has gone way downhill) -- but it's far more consistent and really nice-looking. Love it!

OK, I'll give this a try. This is an example of my 'normal' note taking hand. Although I like the paper of the Campus notebooks, the 7mm rule does cramp things. Sitting at an odd angle doesn't help either.

In any case, comments or suggestions for improvement are welcome (it's supposed to be Spencerian!)

Cheers,

- SteveN

Just posted this in my REVIEW thread:

http://i34.tinypic.com/33endz8.jpg

It's not my best handwriting (I have few different ones) - this is the one I use for fast (and I mean really fast!) writing while taking notes in lectures, I have to write a lot of things down while the professor is talking, and I allways struggled to read my own handwriting afterwards... It took me a while to figure out how to change my chickenscratch and now I have no problems reading my own handwriting - and even the others can read it! ;) Is it legible enough for you!?!

Anyhow, I have also much nicer looking scripts, but with those it takes me much longer to write something down... like this one:

http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/8789/psth.png

And sometimes I like using broad oblique nibs:

Somehow just idea comes to my mind... :)

These and many more are VERY impressive to me. I see tons on here that are just gorgeous works of art. Amazing. What an inspiration to me to keep practicing. Thank you all! It's good to read that many have "multiple" handwritings, as I do too. Good insight.
