I would like to branch out from my moleskines, but i would also like them to look nice shelved. Can I please see your journal collections? Thanks! There are four moleskines and the other two are the regular mead composition books from before I found moleskines.

My lovely Rustico journal and my Rhodia Reverse Book! (I also have an orange Reverse Book, but I'm not using that one at the moment.) I'm also getting a custom journal from Tedra at FineBlankBooks.com. I can't wait!

(No affiliation, yadda yadda. ;) )

What kind of custom journal are you having made? Some of the stuff on that website looks pretty cool!

Wow that black anniversary set of journals is an amazing idea. Imagine if she said no!

I like very simple, practical journals, so she's making a small (a little bigger than 4x6") journal with dark green bookcloth, 100 unlined fountain-pen friendly pages (200 sides), and my initials on the front. I'm also getting a tiny fountain pen nib embossed under my name. I'll post pictures once I receive it! :)

WOOOOOAHHH... They got some sweet looking journal books in there! Those would look wicked all lined up on a shelf. I can't wait to see your reviews and pictures of your custom journal. So excited, although the price is a little steep for my shallow pockets. I'd better start saving up!

Yes you may. None of mine are the same, except that I had a series of one style (all in different colors) for a while.

I like Stevlight's shelf of sketchbooks a lot! Just thinking about all that completed work stuffed inside that shelf is very satisfying and visually appealing.

Nice topic, Tatts.

I like mine simple. I'd also love to see them show more wear and tear after use... three on the right are still unused. Great topic!

PS: Sorry about the crappy picture.

Thanks Rena. I was looking at the Moleskine sketchbooks I have and the older ones are thicker--have more pages! just interesting--thought I'd share. I use the Exacompta sketchbooks in a leather cover from Gfeller casemakers now--the moleskines were good but the Exacompta is very FP friendly. Here is my sketchbook and MB 149 in use and my sketchbook guardian always alert.

I don't often use the same type of journal twice: I just buy a nice one when I see it, put it on the pile and then select one from the pile when it's time to start a new one. It's coming up to that time again, actually.

Anyway, here are a few pictures of my collection:

Needless to say I started keeping a journal when I was quite young, as the appearance of some of these might suggest!

Amazing! I'm gonna have to look into these now... Can they do the lettering anywhere on the cover in any size?

Tedra can do anything, I'm convinced. Just look at some of her past work! :)
