Neat Hobby Lobby Rotating Pen Holder

I was wandering around my local Hobby Lobby and came across something beautiful: a rotating pen holder with 72 pen slots of three varying circumferences for only $9. Naturally, I bought it.

It's made of a hard grey plastic, but I haven't noticed any scratches on my pens because of this.

There is also a tray beneath it that can hold bigger office supplies; you can see in the photos that I have my watch, an eraser shaped like a screw, and a stapler in three of the compartments. The hole on the top can hold scissors or thin pen bags for storage. I also keep my pipette (poor man's excuse for an eyedropper; stolen by my friend Adam from the science lab here at Hendrix) and some cheap BPs here.

Oh, did I mention that it rotates? :) Very cool! If you're interested in a useful organization tool for your pens (or art supplies: paintbrushes, colored pencils, etc.) this is a good choice!

Edit: I am definitely not affiliated with Hobby Lobby, even though I shop there all the time.

Edit2: I was inspired by Yuki Onitsura to see if the trays held any ink bottles. Good news--they fit both Aurora and Waterman ink bottles, although not PR, Noodler's, or J. Herbin.

$9? I'm getting one.

The sword is mightier than the pen. However, swords are now obsolete whereas pens are not.

That's pretty darn nifty! Those trays look about the right size for Waterman ink bottles too.

That's definitely a fun store. Nice find!

I was watching some fountain pen repair videos from the webcam at pentiques.com. I think that guy has the same thing on his workbench for his repair tools! See what you think: http://pentiques.com...s/webcam-2.html (edit: look at the full screen version for more detail)

Here is something similar online: Pen Tray

Is it the same one?

It looks almost exactly the same. I'm not sure if it's the same one, since I threw away the box.

I love Hobby Lobby! It is very easy to spend a couple of hours wandering around, and spend a lot of money. :roflmho:
