What is Ink Jam?

I noticed a number of pens sold on eBay come with Ink Jam Prevention. I'm wondering whether anyone has ever had ink jam? What is it like? Does it come in a variety of flavors?

Ink Jam is when a bunch of different inks come together with their instruments and play Jam sessions. At least mine like to do that.

 

I prefer not to discourage it as I believe it creates a healthy ink bottle environment.
