If I were you, I would return it again, but call ahead, speak to an individual and ask that the replacement be inspected prior to shipment, and then include a letter referencing the conversation and the individual's name. Make someone personally accountable.

Please see the image below. It's a friction fit. Hold the nib unit with the feed pressing down onto a surface, nib pointing up. Gently apply downward pressure to the collar.

Thanx a lot, 1000km! Recently I've received an EF Pelikan nib and, fallen asleep on the lecture, I had my bird dropped and its nib bent a little and misaligned on a feeder. I didn't know if I could do smth with it, but I luckily found your post. My nib is working much better now!

Oh, wait, oh shi~ And how do I assemble the whole unit again? It's too tight and I'm afraid to break the unit (in fact I've already had the… plates? tines?.. bent a little). Help please! :)

you can always place the blame squarely on putin.

joking aside. there should be videos of how to bend it back into shape. using wood block and some soft tipped dowel but i dont want u to break it further. depends on how severe it is bent. you can always refer to nibmeister

'The Yo-Yo maneuver is very difficult to explain. It was first perfected by the well-known Chinese fighter pilot Yo-Yo Noritake. He also found it difficult to explain, being quite devoid of English.

So we left it at that. He showed us the maneuver after a sort. B*****d stole my kill.'
