A thought/suggestion: so this one pinned topic doesn't get too long and hard to find things in it, why not let people start a post in which they are offering items for free, listed as PIF posts? Another hobby board I frequent does this and it works amazingly well...

Offered free: one bottle of Private Reserve "Hot Bubble Gum" - a very bright pink! I think I've only had a few goes with a dip pen so it's nearly full. UK only please. Please PM to reserve.

 

Caution: this was one of PRs early colours made from a formulation that must not be mixed with other inks or precipitation results.

Okay, my turn. This is a small way to repay the friendship and information that I've found on FPN (plus enabling that should be illegal!)

 

I'm offering 3-5 ml samples of each my inks. Since the tubes I have available are not pen-friendly, I'll include a plastic pipettor for transferring ink to cartridges or a more friendly container. One sample of each of my inks is available, one per person. First PM gets the color, and I'll try to update availability quickly. Perhaps give a second choice in your message, in case your first choice is gone. And, yes, I know, I have far too many inks, but I do love colors. cloud9.gif (Note the lack of blacks and other ...serious colors.)

 

US or Canada only.

 

I thought I should mention why I've tried to Pay it Forward, both in this thread and previously. Not long after I joined FPN, I posted a WTB for a Reform Demo, a pen that I had owned previously. A member sent one to me, at no cost...and included a Recife Crystal Eyedropper. He just wrote that he thought that I'd like it, and I did! I've tried to pay it forward since then.

I think it is looking for a nice student's pocket or backpack to snuggle into... would like to ride the bus, hang out in class, that kind of stuff... Any student out there wanna help me out? What a great idea!

 

I have a green Parker Reflex M that I just don't like and never use. I will send that to the first person in the U.S. who sends me a PM for it. I'll include a Parker ink cart, not sure which color but let me know if you have a preference.

 

I hope someone wants this pen, because I just can't seem to be able to throw it away but I also don't write with it.

I got into fountain pens when someone sent me a Hero band pen and a bottle of ink. Decided to return the favor... Here's what I'm giving away, first PM claims. I'm in the USA. I'll ship to the lower 48 states for free.

 

• Hero 397B in blue - includes box CLAIMED
• Swisher Pens - 3 oz bottle of maroon ink - 1/2 bottle remaining CLAIMED
• Private Reserve - Sherwood Green 6 cartridges CLAIMED
• Sheaffer NoNonsense translucent blue calligraphy pen - Broad nib & 1 Sheaffer blue ink cartridge CLAIMED

 

The Hero pen has had 2 converters full of ink through it and then replaced with a Lamy CP1. The Hero is in great shape and has what I think would be considered an F nib. I don't know if cartridges would fit or not.

 

The Private Reserve ink is because I accidentally ordered a pack of cartridges instead of bottles. I don't have that many pens that take international cartridges.

 

The Sheaffer is still on its first converter full of ink - don't worry - I'll empty it before sending it and include a fresh cartridge. I just don't like nibs that wide.

 

 

Geez! 3 people claimed the Swisher Pens maroon ink in less than 10 minutes! Wow. A little over an hour and a half after my original post & it's all been spoken for.
