I've been getting a little crazy with the ink purchasing lately and would like to pass along a few things that I'm not likely to use. So, free to good home in CONUS:

  • Diamine Violet - scarcely touched
  • Noodler's Black - about 90% full
  • Noodler's Blue-Black - maybe 75% full

These are all nice inks, just not colors that I really use much.

I want to send these all to the same lucky person, just 'cause it's simpler.

All three free to first responder.

Ok. Boy you guys are fast!

Well, we have our "almost" winner. As promised, I'll wait 6 hours and see if I get any PM's from other timezones on the same minute. If there's a clash, I'll use my shimmy shimmy voodoo technique to pick a winner.

Similar to the Thistle ink offering above, I found a bottle of Mak-Ur-Own Dri-Ink (blue black) yesterday at a flea market. The tablets are in good condition. I have 8 small ziploc bags and the bottle, each containing 2 tablets, to give away. The directions say to dissolve one tablet in 1 ounce of clean water. The bottle is dated 1944.

So, I have 9 samples to give away. No guarantees, as I haven't tested it. As I'm going to mail the ziplocs in envelopes, the tablets may get crushed in transit.

Kristi

Well, got the tablets in the mail today!! I haven't tried them yet, (the work of a university student is NEVER DONE..) but I will soon!

Thank you so much for your generosity!

Congratulations to another college student, Bourgeoisie, who has won the Sheaffer Admiral TD.

Thanks to everyone that messaged me. I wish I had more to give away!

Aren't those the HERO pens that look like a hooded Parker 51, with an Aerometric filling system?

If so, nice looking pens, someone [caller 16, as you say] is going to be a happy-camper!

Free bump, [i'm not playing, I have what I want already] for what looks to be a sweet pen!

Yup, those are the ones! They are nice writers (haven't had a dud yet)... very similar to how a "51" feels (maybe less weight).

We have a caller #16... that took a while! They will be notified in turn as soon as the system lets me!

Thanks for playing!

Okay, here's a twist to make this interesting-

I have a Waterman Hemisphere, stainless brushed with a medium nib that I want to give away, only thing is I put it somewhere and need help finding it. We will call this "THE RIDDLE OF THE ROCK 'N ROLL SPHINX".

The pen is stored in two containers, one inside of the other. The first container was given to me by James Brown in 1965. Inside of that container is another given to me by Sammy Hagar, before he joined Van Halen. What are the two containers?

First PM with the correct answer gets the pen.

Good Luck and Kindest Regards

ZENHIKESTER

Guessed in no time flat. Pen found inside of a three lock box inside of a brand new bag

The Exacompta Journal arrived yesterday in geat shape.
Very nice! It is more flexible that I anticipated and the the paper is great.
Thanks Zoe for your generosity. I will have to find something worthwhile to write!

Beautiful Journal, have you tried a fountain pen in it yet, maybe just to put your name on the first page?

I have some Gold Fibre journals I use that are fairly good with fountain pens, have given a few pocket sized ones away to friends as gifts.

This is the first I've seen of these, than one in brown in particular looks very classy and somewhat "vintage", at least to me I like it better than the black I've seen.

Sweet; enjoy!
