Postcard in from @Mark from Yorkshire!  I actually have a letter prepared to mail to you as well, but it's not landing in the mailbox until tomorrow.

And a letter in from @frolic838!

As for TWSBI Ecos cracking - apparently a common problem according to reddit.  My spouse and I both like to collect the colors because they're fun to look at and generally don't dry out when inked up.  But after talking with Philip of TWSBI about how to switch nibs, I took a loupe to the section to attempt it myself and instead found a crack.  So I took the loupe to our entire collection and found 14 cracks!  I have to say the CS from TWSBI to replace the barrels was spot on and rapid, though that may be because we own 34 pens and 14 (maybe even 15) of them were cracked, so you could say we're rather "important" (read: spendy) customers?  I did appreciate that.  But I also called my sister after to tell her, and she checked her Eco, and *that* was cracked too, so obviously they have build problems with their acrylics still, which means I'll likely think twice before collecting more of them.  Statistically speaking, 15 or 16 out of 35 pens cracking is a significant quality control failure.  It's a shame, because otherwise they're fantastically designed pens.  Just not built to last...

Eep.... I've got 18 of them, but haven't checked for cracks yet.  How old are your pens, and do they seem to just be on the colored versions or do you have cracks on any clear ones you own as well?

Did Twsbi send you replacement housings?  And did you have to pay for them / shipping for them?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Between my husband and I we have a good spread, as we like collecting the different colors.  Some of them are fairly old, over five years, and some of them are as recent as last year (though the cracks are smaller in size).  As for replacement housings, we had to pay for shipping (10 USD, which is a nothingburger when you're getting bodies, but if I had only one cracked pen I'd be unhappy if I had to pay that much for shipping), but nothing for the materials themselves.  Note we will have to disassemble and reassemble the pens ourselves, but these are TWSBIs, I'm sure there's a million and a half youtube videos on how to do that. :P

Your letter was post marked 6/13 and I received it today 7/15.  That's crazy.  Wish I knew where all it's been!
