I like all of them and they are very close in terms of preference, but my order is:

1.Original barleycorn

2.Pinstripe

3.Current barleycorn

4.Fiber guilloche

5.Pure silver

What's your order?

2. Pure Silver

3. Original Sterling Silver Barley

4. Silver Guilloche

5. Sterling Silver Pinstrip

If you include Meistersuck LE's made of silver, then it's a different story.

I use a 144 SS Solitiare which has the barleycorn finish but not sure whether its the original one or not. What is the difference ? If you advise it will save me going to root through all my MB catalogues.

Here's the original barleycorn - a finer grain

Here's the new one - with the zigzag pattern

Pure Silver is a discontinued silver pen. It's very elegant and has no gold plating on the cap rings or under the piston knob. It's model #05838 in 146 size. Here is a link on this reseller's website.

I am not affiliated with them nor have I purchased from them in the past...I just found an image on their website.

cheers

1. New Sterling Barley

From an aesthetic standpoint, the all white metal nib seals the deal.

2. Pure Silver

I thought all the Solitaire nibs were two tone.
