I have two Frontiers, one in green plastic, one flighter. They are both good as inexpensive pens. (They are heavily discounted here, I paid around $10 for each). I use them to test new inks mostly. Both have medium nibs, but they write broader than medium nibs in my Sonnets (which are gold nibs).

For the price, they write well. And I wouldn't worry about loaning them to somebody or taking them someplace I wouldn't take a "good" pen. I do prefer a screw converter to the slide converter they have; however, if I am honest, it works just as well. I hope I'm not "damning with faint praise." For a $10 pen, they are really quite good.

Excellent review. I have this pen and ironically inked it up this morning to write back a few pen pals. Super duper smooth writer! I should ink it up more often.
