Greatly appreciated. Looking over the scans has helped me make some decisions regarding future purchases.

Thanks!!

Very nice samples--thank you for taking the time. The Montblanc fine nib is much more responsive than fine nibs in other brands. The Oblique is a fascinating nib--everyone should have at least one--just for art's sake.

Did I miss the ink you're using and the paper brand?

I always get a kick out of these "no affiliation" notations when it's blatantly obvious the poster has absolutely nothing to do with the brand, company, etc. beyond being a customer. It must be a feel-good/feel-important thing. So I'll note up front that nothing I write here on this forum is influenced by any financial-gain motivation.

Nice Darius.

Am using an F nib right now with my Starwalker Black Mystery. I was planning on a nib exchange but the store I bought it from said that it would take 3-4 months before the stock arrives. Decided not to push with my plan, anyway F is not bad after all.

Sorry I haven't replied to this post earlier. Work hs bee busy, and then I was out of the country for sme time.

Anyway, to answer some of the questions.

The paper used is Elco Prestige, 80g/m2. A5 size. Space between lines is 9mm.

The ink is Montblanc Black.

I also got a paper ruler we use in OT and rescanned the pages.

Is there a way to tell what nib is on my MB 146. I think it is a F but am not sure.

Thanks a lot for scans. I have to choose between BB and OBB.

Both are lovely. I like the extra flair of the OBB, but a BB will give awesome performance. :cloud9:

True! It was the reason of problems in choice.

I like higher ink's density on paper. BB size do it as I love :D Almost whole page should be wet (in ink), white should be only here and there ;)

Very cool! Thanks for the scan. I just picked up a MB with an OB nib, and not having an incredible amount of experience with nib sizes, this defintiley helped me out!

GClef, you've found a very nice pen, and I find the flexibility of these pens to be far superior than of any MB pens of 1966 or later.

Hard times don't last, but hard people do.

Thank a Veteran.

Thank you. I've spent the past few months really trying to make my script neater, and I work on it everyday.

I've had this 3-44 for about a week and it's awesome. I just won an auction on ebay for a 3-44 with an EF nib, so I'm excited about getting that one. I'm hoping the flex is about the same. If it is, it'll definitely be one of three work horse pens I keep inked.
