Sorry, I do not know how to advise you on the discoloration part.

 

I have a Sensa Meridian bought from eBay. I have used it for a few months, and there is no discoloration on the clip.

A friend of mine and I both own a Sensa in the same design, and the plating came off quite quickly. I would say this is a common problem with their manufacturing process. My pen without the first layer of plating does shine up pretty quickly now with a little rubbing from a slightly wet cotton cloth. In fact, it looks better now than before. Polish that old stuff away, and your pen should be fine.

I enjoyed writing with my Sensa Meridian FP except that teh ribs on the screw cap stripped and the cap falls off so it is out of circulation..if anybody wants it, let me know. You can have it for the price of the shipping.
