My Tudor Black Bay (with an aftermarket rubber strap) and MB Meisterstück 90 Years LeGrand ...

Another fine pairing Manburg. I do like the Tudor snowflake hands but the lack of a date on this one meant i passed.

Thank you da vinci. Yeah, I'd understand why one would pass the BB due to its lack of date.

A very strange sino-german liaison: Ingersoll IN 8702 and my beloved Lamy 2000 EF

Great looking watch

That got me googling Ingersoll - I am surprised at the number of automatic watches, and am I right in saying they are made in the uk too?

Hello Da vinci

I am afraid Ingersoll is a bit of a mongrel creature, originally a US brand , then dissapeared and was resurrected by a chinese conglomerate based in Honk Kong. Their watches look stunning and they are quite reliable, but their machinery is chinese ( Seagull, probably). I have had mine for 3 years and it is a quite an attractive watch. Obviously is the poor man's Glashutte Panomatic Lune, but since I do not have at my disposal the 10000 pounds that this watch cost this will do. Ingersoll is to watches what Duke is to fountain pens.

Regards

Thanks Columela, all interesting comment.
