Finally, I could be bothered with taking a picture of my daily wear, featuring my cheap Chinese with cheap Japanese.

This is my American Waltham Watch Co Model 1857 from 1865 along with my 1928 Jade Duofold. Trying to get a decent picture with my limited skills was very difficult so go easy.

The pen (and watch) are lovely, but please identify that intriguing journal...

A beautiful watch and chain. What are they made of? (Gold? Gold Fill?) and what's the jewel-count on the watch? What's the coin-fob that you have there? And do you wear the watch?

Thank you! It is solid 14K gold with two diamonds in the stars on both sides. It is 17 jewels, I believe. The coin is from a German coin from an African colony; based on what I've read from it. I only wear the watch on special occasions. I've had this one before I bought the other one.

Its just a black leather journal with hand tooled covers. I don't remember where I got it from. Its about 40 dollars and has nice paper and a wood bead on the end to close and secure the journal. Its about the size of the pocket Moleskine, maybe slightly larger.

Modest mobile phone shots of some modest gear: Skagen Titanium and Monteverde Invincia Stealth. I don't mind being put to shame by you guys--I'll be there one day :).

(And yes, I do really like black. The phone is black, too, but it was used to take the pictures, so :P.)

I have been photographing watches for years and have been blogging on it for as long. I only discovered this thread and silly me started a separate thread on my own watch and pen photos. Here is the thread....

Here is another capture not on that thread. Hopefully with some more time and effort, I will be able to show off a few more of the pen and watch combination photographs.

Sorry for reposting this 3 year old picture from the beginning of this great topic, but I just had to ask:

What's the pen on the far left? It's the first pen I've ever had as a kid and I loved that thing.

As far as I remember, it's a Waterman?

The karma points are yours!

Thanks!

No problem, glad to help! In case you want to bring back some memories, you can still find the Phileas in online shops and at a reasonable price, too.
