Here's a quick pic to celebrate my first successful attempt at changing the watch strap on my Zenith Chronomaster. (It's not too difficult - but you really must have the right tool!)

Great Sinns, guys! The 656 is one of my favorite watches.

Same watch, different pens. This is my newest Girard-Perregaux Classic Elegance 1966 and 3 different pens.

TITANIUM

Limited edition Titanium case Panerai self-winding 40 hr power reserve. While I realize I'm not the photographer that some of you are, I took this with natural light probably enhanced by all the snow on the ground. I think I captured the shade of blue of the watch dial, kind of a steely blue. The pen is a Grayson Tighe titanium model, number 17. Kind of reminds me of Boone's Spectra Ti pen, but I like the mathematical progression of Boone's and I'm really thinking of getting one.The pen case is eel skin, I think.

While I'm at it....

Another limited edition (#22 of 500) Maurice Lacroix Indy 500 flyback chronograph with "engine turned" aluminum face, big date and a small month between 4 & 5 o'clock (better seen in photo 2). Exhibition back in pic 3. Oh, and in keeping with the automotive theme, a carbon fiber vanishing point fp.

The numbers remind me of Blancpain. Oh, and I just got called that my BP flyback chrono is back from the repair shop (second hand didn't return to 12/zero). When I pick it up, I'll find a suitable pen and post again.

Hope you all enjoy the watches and can overlook the photography.

Sorry, haven't got any pen pics. Here are a couple of watches

A not so good pic of the one I'm wearing today - 1963 Omega Cal. 562 Pie Pan Constellation.

Girard Perregaux demonstration watch sent to jewellers c. 1950

c. 1954 Le Coultre Futurematic (note lack of winding crown)

I like the idea of combining pen and watch images - I have a new digital camera that I need to evaluate for macro and that would be a great subject for test shots.

Mind you, pens are dead easy to photograph compared to watches - you need to remove the crystals on many watches to prevent glare, or use a light box to photograph them.

Beautiful Omega.

My Skagen and Vanishing Point (the Skagen looks significantly better in person, I just suck at photography)

Both of them are daily users : Montblanc 149 B nib from the seventies and a 1961 rose gold Omega Seamaster

And another combination. A coral red MB 216 from Denmark, dating from the 50s with a F nib, slight flex and a 50s Longines manual 17 j
