Thanks Katu ~ Yep, I made this one.........

the only green one I have so far & it's a homemade one.....

That pen is beautiful! Is it one you made yourself, or did you buy it from someone who made it? I love it though!

What is it made out of?

I love the white tortoise Pel, but I've never really considered it green.

(I actually just remembered I do have an actual green pen, the Reform 1745. I don't know why I forgot about it before.)

I didn't until a thread on here about a year ago (also about green pens) in which someone posted it, and then I saw the green. To my eyes now it looks more like green, albeit greenish tortoise, than any other colour. (I'm not sure what colour I'd have called it before.) I generally prefer yellow-toned greens - as this is - to the blue-toned greens more often used in green pens (and inks, come to think of it). Plus it's a beautiful pen and I like posting its picture.

My favorite greens:

--Sheaffer Balance Lifetime, marine green, standard, 1930-31.

--Parker Striped Duofold, major, 1943 (fourth quarter).

Here is a Conway Stewart 15, to add to this series. I posted it recently in another thread, so some may recognize it.

It is not the only green pen I have, but it is the only one of which I have a photo that is acceptable for publishing. Some of the others include a Parker 21 (green body), a Pelikan M400, a 1930s German-made Matador, as well as a French-made Edacoto from the same period as the Matador.

Enjoy.
