We are one mile closer, still inches to go. But the last few inches happen to be the most difficult distance to the target. More detail fine tune on tooling still needed.

Every time I see this pen I want it even more! It's looking amazing, and I for one, can't wait to buy one or two.

Very looking forward to this. I have the US ebay store bookmarked and look every day or so.

FYI, for those of us who don't read Chinese, I've been using Google Chrome, and when I go to speedy's blog or the TWSBI forum, Chrome offers to translate. And I thing the translation is pretty reasonable. I'm sure you can get something similar by going to Google Translate and putting the URL's speedy gives us on the 'Translate a web page' field.

Can hardly wait. That's my next pen purchase.

i asked my friend, a non fp user, how much he thinks the pen cost, and he guessed $180. when i told him the pen will only cost ~ $40, he was so shocked that he wanted to buy one when it comes out. he was impressed that it looked so professional, yet only cost a fraction. good work speedy!

OK, I've been watching this thread for awhile. I just watched the disassembly/assembly video. Sign me up!

The pens are gorgeous, and can be disassembled for cleaning!! The tight tolerances that you are holding on plastic parts are amazing, especially at this price point. Very impressive.

Thank you guys for all your support. This project so far should have brought lot of fun to most of us and is moving forward to a happy result.

About the price, remember I said about "True Value", I just want to proof it is workable, so more people can enjoy good products.

Recently the project was stopped by external plastic parts second operation (to improve the hand touch feeling) during pilot run, about several weeks trying we basically found the solution again. In about two weeks we should have the 300pcs pilot run done. In the mean time parts preparation for mass production is in progress, so when pilot run done, mass production will start immediately.

Sorry for keeping everybody waiting all the time, nevertheless we have to make sure we are doing best we can before we ship out the pen.thumbup.gif

I am also excited to see the final version of this pen. I hope the reviews also love it. It would be my first demonstrator.

It has been incredibly interesting watching the development of a new pen and I'm really impressed with the looks of the result.

Of course I want one (or three)! How could I not after following it this far?

Welcome to the forum from Australia.

There is a rumour which goes: “if you stab your finger on the nib of an inked fountain Pen in the light of a full moon, your blood will turn to ink and you will have a compulsion to collect more Pens, inks and papers than you can ever afford”.

But then it is just a rumour. I think?

I imagine speedy needs a few test users that are experienced, while also willing and eager to give honest feedback and complete user experience. Hmmm ... where do you think those test users can be found???

Hint, Hint, speedy. I imagine some may even be willing to pay cost (or more) to be a "test user" to avoid having to surrender the pen after.

Have you thought about how the nibs are to be tested before selling the pens? Just because I bought a new pen this weekend and it didn't write properly - this is really annoying if you're excited about getting a new pen to play with!
