Oct 18, 2009. I will be selling a number of pens in the next few weeks. Shipping in the US is $5 for any number of pens, shipped priority without insurance. I will sell outside the US, but shipping will be significantly higher, I'm afraid. left to right:

1. DaniTrio Tosca, CC filler, medium iridium nib, fabulous Italian celluloid. A big pen. $85

2. DaniTrio, Cum Laude (?), also a medium nib, also a very nice Italian celluloid. Even bigger. $85

3. Filcao--the Princess, maybe? Piston filler, medium nib, funky metal "cookies and cream" pattern. $35

4. Taccia, medium steel nib, the Portuguese or Imperial Portuguese (I get them mixed up) $50

 

5. A very nice OS Sheaffer Balance. Strong imprint, smooth medium nib, no loss to the plating that I can see. No lip cracks or nasty things of that sort. Darkened barrel, but evenly so, and still quite a looker. $175

 

6. Conway Stewart 100, limited edition. I had to have the cap jewel replaced on this, and CS sent a black one instead of white. Looks nice, but is not original. The pen is a CC filler, and has a wonderful italic fine nib. There is a slight bit of staining on the pen--doesn't show in the photos here, but I will try to get a better shot if anyone is interested in the pen. I am wary of too vigorous cleaning with casein, so I prefer the next owner to take that on, if interested. Pen still looks great to me. $350 because of the jewel and the ink.

 

7. Sheaffer Grand Connaisseur in gold. This beautiful pen has an incredibly smooth nib (I'd call it a medium, but I can't see a marking). No marks or other issues. I have a GC box, but I'm not sure it really came with this pen. I'm paring down to just one GC, and the silver is the one I am keeping--for now--every time I put this pen in front of the camera or hold it in my hand I reconsider. $340

 

8. Wahl Equipoised set in the wonderful Tunis material. This is one of the smaller Equips. The pen is in fabulous condition--a bit of rub on the clip balls, and a slight rub on the gold seal, but otherwise wonderful. The nib is a Wahl signature nib--my favorite. It has flex, but it also has what I like to call spine. (wouldn't it be great if we all could be flexible, while still keeping our spine?) $360 for this set.

 

If you want an instant and eclectic collection, take the lot for $1245. Thanks for looking.

Are you sure the Tosca is made of Italian celluloid? It sure looks like the resin used by Itoya and Sailor.

Now that you mention it, I am not sure. The CumLaude is certainly celluloid, as was the DaniTrio Alphaplus. Perhaps the Tosca is not. Thanks for the catch!

The same black/red/blue/purple material was also available on the Alphaplus, so if that's definitely celluloid then I would think the Tosca is too.
