Received my Parker 45 Broad and Accountant nibs today!!

Will try the accountant nib but I imagine it to be almost unusable? My 'X' extra fine I find very scratchy and not to my liking and the 'A' is even finer and looks like no tipping!!

Hi! Before, I did not understand those who like vintage nibs with patina and I cleaned these nibs every time, but now I “fall in love” to it myself.

very odd - I now find myself with 2 Esterbrook Flex nibs # 9128

The 1st was my mothers and has lots of tipping material  - works ok but does on occasion railroad and go dry (actually sent to a nib person to fix it had obviously taken an nose dive and both tines were bent over)

the 2nd I just found in a box of my Grandmothers stuff - very little tipping material but flexes a charm and keeps up no problem! (had only 1 tine bent [looked like crossed fingers!] which I somehow got back into shape on my first attempt to bend it back on my own!)

1st one is actually curved down over the feed a bit where 2nd is straight (will try to add photos later)

maybe just differences in manufacture over the years??

Early days but I find myself liking the one with less tipping material more so far

These are mine. The link has some history and tests.
